Large, upright, bushy, fast growing deciduous shrub or small tree (H 3-5 m, W 3-4 m). Branches upright to arching. Bark roughly fissured, light brown-grey. Leaves deeply pinnately compound (20-25 cm), soft, smooth, mid to dark green. Flowers in umbels (15-25 cm), simple (0,3 cm), cream white, intensely scented. Flowering period: June. Fruits globose (0,7 cm), fleshy, very juicy, black-violet to black. Ripening time: September-October. Especially high yield and larger fruits. Attracts butterflies, bees and birds. These plants grow well in sun or in partial shade. Usually they tolerate more sun and heat if given enough moisture; in partial or light shade they need less moisture.
